How Can I Learn Quran Online in the USA?
The most direct way to learn Quran online in the USA is a live, one-on-one video class with a certified tutor. Your tutor listens as you recite and corrects your pronunciation on the spot, which a recorded course or app can't do. QuranHost teaches students across the United States this way, with lessons set around your time zone, school and work schedule.
Where you start depends on what you can already read:
- Can't read Arabic yet: begin with Noorani Qaida, which teaches the letters and their sounds.
- Can read a little: move to Quran reading with Tajweed for fluent, correct recitation.
- Reading well: choose memorization (Hifz), Tafseer or Arabic.
Not sure of your level? Your tutor assesses it during your free trial classes.

Online Classes or a Weekend Islamic School?
Many US families weigh these two options, and they do different jobs.
- Weekend Islamic school: face-to-face time with teachers and other Muslim children, plus a connection to your local community. Classes are usually taught in groups, so each student gets less individual recitation time.
- One-on-one online classes: the whole lesson is focused on one student, with no driving, a choice of male or female teacher and times that work around school, sports and shifts.
You don't have to pick one. Some families keep weekend school for community and add online classes for Quran reading and memorization.
Quran Classes for Every Stage of Life
- Kids: short, age-appropriate lessons after school or on weekends through our online Quran classes for kids.
- Teens and college students: lessons that move around exams and class schedules.
- Working adults: early, evening or weekend lessons, whether you are starting from zero or returning after years away.
- Sisters and daughters: ask for a female Quran teacher when you book.
- New Muslims: patient, judgment-free lessons that begin with the Arabic letters.
- Hifz students: structured Quran memorization with regular revision.
